This was a collaborative opportunity with @NonFromSeoul to create a special key piece together. In 2025, I had the honor of hosting a showing at the NonFromSeoul shop in ROW DTLA, with several of my pieces displayed in their gallery space.
Through this show, I had the chance to work with the incredibly talented tattoo artist @Q_tattoos. From the start, we connected over our shared journeys, backgrounds, and deep respect for Korean heritage. We wanted to create something meaningful, something that reflected where we come from and how far we’ve both come.
For the art show, many of my pieces were heavily inspired by Korean culture, and it only felt right to carry that same energy into this collaboration. That’s when the idea came to life: turning Go-Stop (Hwatu) cards into key pendants.
We selected three powerful symbols: the Crane, the Nightingale, and the Cherry Blossom. each carrying its own meaning in life, in Korean culture, and within the game itself. Together, these images represent longevity, resilience, new beginnings, harmony, and growth.
This project is more than just a piece of jewelry. It’s a reflection of our journeys, our roots, and the paths that brought us here. We felt this was the best way to honor our culture while creating something timeless and personal.
